Our staff have experience across Early Childhood Centres, Primary and High Schools and Special Education Schools. They have worked with children from different cultures across New Zealand and the UK.
One of our directors holds a bachelors degree in Primary Education and a Masters Degree in teaching and learning with a focus on Special Education Needs. They are also trained Lego Therapists.
Our staff have completed training on behavioural support in different settings and have been Licensed Thrive Practitioners for several years before becoming trainers of the approach.
The Thrive Approach was developed in the UK over the last 25 years and is constantly changing and adapting with the latest child development theory, attachment theory and neuroscience. It is the leading provider in the UK of tools and training to help adults support the social and emotional development of the children and young people they are working with.
In the UK, the Department of Education have supported schools to develop the use of The Thrive Approach in schools to support the wellbeing of all. This has meant the the approach has reached over 2600 schools, early childhood centres and special education provisions and over 600,000 children have benefited from it.
The Thrive Approach has now arrived in New Zealand and Australia. Helping Children Thrive Aotearoa are bringing this approach to this part of the work to support the emotional well being of the children of New Zealand and Australia.
Developed over the past 25 years, Thrive is a leading provider of tools and training to help adults support the social and emotional development of the children and young people they are working with. We work with schools, multi-academy trusts (MATs), local authorities, health and social care professionals, and parents and carers.
